Registration deadlines and fees (per part, USD)

First-time candidates also pay a one-time USD 400 enrollment fee with their first Part 1 registration, and a deferral (if you need one) costs USD 250. Fees are per part and in US dollars; confirm the current amounts on GARP's site before you pay.

Can you still register for November 2026?

Yes. Standard registration is open until 30 September 2026 at USD 800 per part (early-bird pricing of USD 600 closed on 31 July). Once registered, the deadline to schedule your exam appointment is 24 October 2026.

How the FRM exam is structured

The FRM is a two-part, multiple-choice exam. Part 1 has 100 questions covering the foundations of risk management, quantitative analysis, financial markets and products, and valuation and risk models. Part 2 has 80 questions covering market, credit, operational and integrated risk management, treasury and liquidity risk, and current financial-market issues. Your Part 2 result is only graded once you have passed Part 1.

• Drill practice questions under timed conditions: the FRM rewards accuracy at speed across a wide syllabus.
• Prioritise the higher-weighted topics in each part rather than trying to master everything equally.
• Sit at least one full timed mock per part, then review every miss.
