Resume review request — 2 years finance experience, targeting CFA roles

Posting my resume summary section for feedback (not sharing the full thing publicly for privacy). I have 2 years as a financial analyst at a manufacturing company, BCom from Symbiosis, CFA Level I passed August 2025. Targeting equity research or buy-side analyst roles. Summary: "Analytical finance professional with 2 years experience in financial analysis and reporting. CFA Level I passed. Seeking opportunities in investment management where I can contribute my analytical skills and passion for markets." Does this work or is it too generic?

The "independently tracked stocks" point is something I do but haven't put on my CV because it felt informal. Putting it on now. Rewriting the summary with specific numbers this week.

For equity research specifically: mention stocks or sectors you've tracked independently, even if not professionally. "Independently tracked 12 Indian mid-cap companies in the consumer durables sector for 18 months" tells me you actually invest time in markets, not just work in finance. That's the signal buy-side and sell-side are looking for.

It's generic. The words "analytical," "passion for markets," and "contribute my skills" appear on 90% of finance CVs. A better approach: specific achievements. What did you actually analyse? What was the impact? "Rebuilt 3-year rolling forecast model for INR 800Cr manufacturing division, reducing close time by 4 days." That's what gets read. Replace the summary with 2-3 bullet points of specific, quantified achievements.
