again sat at the tough end of the range — a recurring pattern worth planning
around.
Next up: the
December 2026 session runs Dec 7–11, with standard entry closing Nov 2 and late
entry Nov 9 (results Jan 18, 2027). If you’re sitting in December, the cheaper
standard-entry deadline is days away.
The
ACCA December 2026 exam session is almost here — and the entry deadlines land
first. If you are sitting Applied Skills or Strategic Professional papers this
December, here are the dates that matter, straight from ACCA, so you do not
miss a window.
Key dates —
December 2026 session
• Exam
entry opens: 4 August 2026
• Standard
entry deadline: 2 November 2026
• Late
entry deadline: 9 November 2026
• Exam
week: 7–11 December 2026
• Results
released: 18 January 2027
• Administrative
review deadline: 27 January 2027
What these
deadlines mean
•
Standard entry (2
November) is your last chance to enter at the normal fee. Late entry (9
November) still lets you register, but at a higher late fee — so entering
before 2 November saves money.
•
Exams run across the
week of 7–11 December; your exact date and time depend on the paper and your
centre or remote slot.
•
Results for the
December session are released on 18 January 2027. If you want yours by text,
opt in through myACCA at least seven days before release.

What is happening. ACCA is replacing its qualification structure in 2027. This is not a syllabus refresh. The exam set, the module requirements and the awards all change.
The date that decides your plan. June 2027 is the final sitting of the current Applied Skills and Strategic Professional exams. Everything you pass up to and including that session counts under the existing structure.
When the new qualification starts. Foundations and Knowledge exams become available on demand from July 2027, and the Essential Employability Modules become available the same month. The first session for the new Expertise and Strategic Professional exams is September 2027. Exam entry opens in April 2027 for the July exams, and in May 2027 for the September session.
What is new in it. Four mandatory Essential Employability Modules, a set of new interim awards, and a Data Science Professional option exam.
Should you rush? It depends where you are. With one or two Strategic Professional papers left, finishing by June 2027 is realistic and keeps you entirely inside the structure you started. At Applied Knowledge with most of the qualification ahead of you, rushing is neither realistic nor necessary, because ACCA is running a managed transition and your progress carries over. The awkward case is the middle: several Applied Skills papers plus Strategic Professional still to go. There, work backwards from June 2027 and count the sittings you actually have left, which is December 2026, March 2027 and June 2027, rather than the number you would like to have.
What is not published yet. ACCA has not released exam entry deadlines for the March 2027 or June 2027 sessions. Its important-dates page currently lists September and December 2026 only. Do not assume a deadline date; check before each entry window opens.

The ACCA December 2026 session has two entry deadlines left, and the cheaper one comes first.
The dates
• Entry opened: 4 August 2026
• Standard entry closes: 2 November 2026
• Late entry closes: 9 November 2026
• Exams take place: 7 – 11 December 2026
All deadlines fall at 23:59 UK time on the date listed. If you are entering from another timezone, work that back to your local clock rather than assuming you have until the end of your own day.
The week between the two dates is expensive
Late entry exists, so missing 2 November is not fatal. It is simply more expensive, and you get one extra week rather than a month.
The practical risk is planning around 9 November as though it were the real deadline. If anything goes wrong with payment or your account in that week, there is no third deadline behind it.
Before you enter
Check your exam is actually available in the December session and at your chosen centre before you pay, and confirm you have met any prerequisites for the papers you are entering.

Everything you need for the ACCA September 2026 exam sitting in one place: the exam week, entry deadlines, when and how to get your results, the papers on offer, a final-weeks study plan, and the next sitting after this one. All dates are shown in UK time and were cross-checked against ACCA's published schedule.
ACCA September 2026 key dates at a glance
| Milestone | Date (UK time) |
|---|---|
| Exam week | Monday 7 to Friday 11 September 2026 |
| Standard entry deadline | 27 July 2026, 23:59 (closed) |
| Late entry deadline | 3 August 2026, 23:59 (closed) |

Can you still enter for September 2026?
No. Both entry windows have closed (standard on 27 July, late on 3 August 2026). If you are already booked, your focus now is preparation and, from 19 October, your results. If you missed this sitting, the next opportunity is the December 2026 sitting (dates below).
Which papers are examined in September?
ACCA exams sit within three levels:
- Applied Knowledge: Business and Technology (BT), Management Accounting (MA) and Financial Accounting (FA). These, along with Corporate and Business Law (LW) in most regions, are on-demand computer-based exams you can take year-round, not only in the session.
- Applied Skills: Performance Management (PM), Taxation (TX), Financial Reporting (FR), Audit and Assurance (AA) and Financial Management (FM) are session exams held in the September sitting.
- Strategic Professional: Strategic Business Leader (SBL) and Strategic Business Reporting (SBR), plus two Options papers chosen from Advanced Financial Management (AFM), Advanced Performance Management (APM), Advanced Taxation (ATX) and Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA).
Exam fees vary by paper, by whether you entered at the standard or late deadline, and by region. Always confirm the current fee for your paper in your myACCA account before booking.
How and when to check your September 2026 results
Results are released on 19 October 2026. Sign in to your myACCA account to see your result; ACCA also emails you when results go live (set your notification preferences in myACCA). Each exam is marked out of 100, and 50 is the pass mark.
Final-weeks study plan
- Practise full questions under timed conditions. Passing ACCA is as much about exam technique and timing as knowledge.
- Prioritise the big, examinable areas of your paper rather than trying to cover everything.
- Sit at least one full mock to the clock, then review every mistake.
- Check your exam docket in myACCA before the sitting for your time, papers and on-screen requirements.

The ACCA September 2026 exam sitting is almost here, and if you have not booked yet, time is running short. The standard entry deadline has already passed, which leaves only the late entry window, and that closes in early August. Late entry also carries a higher exam fee, so booking sooner rather than later saves you money as well as stress. To book, log in to your myACCA account, pick your exam and session, choose your centre or remote option, and pay the fee. Because the exact deadline can vary slightly by exam and region, confirm the precise date on the official ACCA exam entry page before you count on it. Once you are booked, switch your focus to timed practice on the papers you are sitting. Missing the late deadline usually means waiting for the December session, so do not leave it to chance.

Candidates planning to sit ACCA exams in September 2026 have until July 27 to register at standard fees. Late entry remains open until August 3 but at significantly higher cost. The September window runs September 7 to 11 and covers Applied Skills and Strategic Professional papers. Remote exam options have been withdrawn from March 2026 onwards — all candidates must attend a physical exam centre. Results for September sitters will be released on October 19, 2026.
ACCA June 2026 exam results will be released on Monday July 13, 2026. Results go live in myACCA from just after midnight UK time — which means Indian candidates will see their results from approximately 4:30am IST. The June 2026 session had no late entry period so the September session is now the next opportunity for those who missed it. Standard entry for September 2026 closes July 27, 2026 and late entry closes August 3, 2026. Exams run September 7 to 11.
